Job hunting can be a lonely and discouraging process. You spend a ton of time filling out online job applications and get nothing but boilerplate rejection letters–if you get anything at all. Cold calls and LinkedIn messages go unanswered daily. You’re creating plenty of one-way communication, but you’re missing out on something key to the search: networking.
With more than 30 million Americans out of work, everyone is competing for the same advertised jobs. What most people don’t realize is that 70 to 80 percent of jobs don’t even make it to job boards—they’re filled by networking. People hire people they know, like, and trust.
With so many people out of work, simply applying to online jobs won’t get you anywhere. If anything, it will just extend your search.
If you want to maximize your job search, don’t work alone. Join Aim Hire’s community.
Aim Hire has created a better way to find jobs: using virtual group networking. We were founded by unemployed workers who have been in your shoes. We created a new community based on the TEAM principle: together, everyone achieves more.
We’ll build that team for you through live networking meetings and structured educational workshops. We’ll put you at the top of your game and arm you with a dedicated team of other job seekers and experienced career coaches to help you discover new job leads and gain valuable connections. It’s all the guidance you’ll need to help you land your next role.
David Wynett founded Aim Hire because he was frustrated with his own job search. He spent his days applying for jobs on job boards, but didn’t make any progress. When David discovered that most jobs are found through networking, he realized that there must be a better and more efficient way to network. He created Aim Hire as a new kind of job virtual support group to help those who are unemployed and seeking new jobs with new connections, job leads, job coaching and motivation.
